B-Live Transformation
In 2009, Bacardi Blive worked with our agency on repositioning Blive from a mainstream college market tour to an authentic branded music tour. The objective was for Blive to become its own brand and gain the respect of true music lovers through talent selection and a true voice. We had a large
brainstorm with our new Blive client in DC. There, we concepted unique music-driven experiences as well as a new tonality through subcultures to portray an overall artistic authenticity.
My role on this project was creative director, overseeing three designers as well as contributing in the design process. In addition to design direction, I worked directly with our client and the experiential agency to concept and develop creative ways of reaching those consumers who follow counter culture. I lead our team through in-depth research of music festivals and tours throughout the world, as well as an exploration of trends in up-and-coming electro music scenes and overall subculture.

The BOOM BOX theme was initially thought in the brainstorm I had with my client in DC. I sketched a Boombox DJ booth and back drop which was later used as reference. An agency in Canada that works with Cirque De Soleil built the final stage.
