Brand Consistency 
In 2011, I led the team set to unify all of Sapporo USA's portfolio packaging. Before this revision, the brands portfolio had been inconsistent, causing confusion to consumers.

2012 Advertising
In 2012, Sapporo's new packaging was released. In 2012, Sapporo's new packaging was released. Sapporo Chopsticks Challenge Program
My team and I developed an on-premise
series of chopstick challenges. These challenges translated to a very "tongue in cheek" Facebook game. In a Japanese game show-style, the application trains the user to become a chopsticks master by stacking the bottle caps. Players can post scores to Facebook and challenge other Facebook chopstick masters.

Sapporo Robot Program 
For an on-premise social activation, we created Japanese-style fighting robots. They were loosely based on vintage Japanese robots and monster movies. The robots' bodies were based on the brand's heroic stainless steel can. These robots were used to develop social brand awareness.

		<description>2012 Sapporo Summer Platform

Much like the previous year, the goal was to create a 360 degree program that will allow retailers to get excited and expand the number of case displays, while maintaining a relevant creative appeal to our target consumer. After identifying the perfect creative partner and subcultural component, the following program was developed and utilized as the Sapporo summer platform. 

All aspects of the project were developed on a very conservative budget. This requires very resourceful content development and very strategic digital spending.

		<description>In 2010, Sapporo commissioned us to change the United States' perception of their brand. Targeting creative professionals age 25 to 35, we explored a variety of campaigns to move beyond the Japanese beer's previous American association, which was almost purely with sushi bars. 

The following samples are taken from the campaign chosen to run in the United states. Also included are the other campaigns pitched to Sapporo by my team.

		<description>In 2011 Bacardi USA released its largest new brand investment, Bacardi Oak Heart. Throughout the launch, my team and I were in charge of all promotional concepts both in digital, on-premise, and event marketing. 

Oak Heart is a spiced Rum that represents brotherhood and an adventurous spirit. The packaging label is meant to serve as a patch representing solidarity. 



Video One was created to generate excitement for the Bacardi Distributors and introduce the new Spiced Rum from Bacardi.



Video Two was a launch video used in on-premise accounts, online media, and television.

		<description>My creative team and I worked to develop the 360º Sapporo Summer  Program. Sapporo is embracing creativity and craftsmanship. Targeting the creative community of 25 to 35 year-olds, we turned to a relevant nostalgic subculture that is appreciated by a creative audience. We built a entire program that involved online social engagement through blogs and other gorilla tactics to seize Sapporo's new target consumer. 

This summer platform managed to secure larger off-premise displays and vastly expand Sapporo reach to a new target consumer. This program, in combination with our 360 efforts to change perception of Sapporo throughout its target markets, helped increase year end sales by 12%.

Working with Moto-Matic Mopeds in Sacramento, we  developed a 1970's style top-tank moped. Combining the general aesthetic of Sapporo with Moto-Matic's vintage custom moped experience, we created the Sapporo Moped. We began collaborating with photoshop comps and moved into actual fabrication over the period of about a month. We finally landed on the following as our final product.

The following videos were assembled and distributed online. These videos and their sharing components became the driving force to the Sapporo Facebook Promotion. Shortly after being released, both videos began circulating on blogs and throughout social media. Both videos were shot and edited by myself in a Lo-Fi, yet effective format. 

In addition to creating awareness, the documentary and lifestyle videos spotlight Sapporo as a creative advocate, thus relating Sapporo to the creative professional. 






The following are miscellaneous pieces designed for the 360º marketing promotion, as well as samples from the promotional Facebook page. Our Facebook tab hosted the photography contest.

This program also allowed Sapporo to be granted large footprints of floor space in the off-premise environment. Sapporo gained larger displays and sold more cases from utilizing the moped as a sought after display piece.
